Summary

LiquidX is seeking a skilled 2D Game Artist to join their creative team. The artist will create game-art assets, collaborate with the development team, and maintain visual style guides. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in various 2D art styles and proficiency in industry-standard software is required.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years experience in creating game art and animations
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of 2D art styles, particularly in vector and animation
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate) and 2D animation softwares (e.g. Spine)
• Excellent understanding of composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling
• Ability to adapt to different artistic styles as per project requirements
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Design and create a wide range of 2D game-art assets, including characters, environments, UI elements, icons, and animations
• Utilise industry-standard software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate for asset creation
• Work closely with the art lead and game designers to maintain visual style guides
• Ensure all assets are optimised for performance and quality across various mobile devices
• Collaborate with the development team to implement art assets into the game

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with game engines (e.g. Unity) is a plus
• Passion for games, with a particular interest in mobile gaming and web3 technologies
