Summary
Join ROSE, an award-winning digital innovation agency, as a skilled 3D Artist. You will create and optimize 3D models and animations for web and mobile platforms, with a focus on AR experiences. This role demands proficiency in producing performant animations for real-time use, using tools like Three.js, SceneKit, RealityKit, or ARCore. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality assets with low file sizes. The ideal candidate possesses advanced 3D software skills, a strong understanding of optimization techniques, and experience creating assets for platforms like Snapchat Lenses and WebAR. ROSE is a remote-first organization, requiring availability for Eastern Time meetings.
Requirements
- Possess proficiency in modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, physics, and particle systems
- Have advanced knowledge of Blender, Cinema 4D (C4D), or similar tools capable of exporting .glb files
- Demonstrate a proven ability to reduce polygon counts and optimize assets for web/mobile platforms
- Have experience with motion design, rigging, and creating performant animations for real-time deployment
- Possess a deep understanding of the full 3D production pipeline, from concept to implementation
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt to a variety of visual aesthetics and project needs
- Have familiarity with creating assets for platforms such as Snapchat Lenses and WebAR
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate creative solutions
Responsibilities
- Create, optimize, and deliver high-quality 3D models and animations tailored for web and mobile, ensuring excellent performance and low file sizes (< 10MB)
- Design assets specifically for AR platforms such as Snapchat Lenses and WebAR
- Work closely with art leadership, engineering, and design teams to define and deliver polished XR models and animations
- Oversee layout, implementation, and optimization of environments, interactive objects, textures, and shaders
- Quickly identify and resolve technical challenges in asset creation, collaborating with team members across disciplines
- Provide input on the best methods for producing 3D assets to achieve various project goals and visual effects
- Collaborate, iterate, and refine assets based on team and client feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience creating assets for Augmented Reality projects
- Possess knowledge of Three.js, SceneKit, RealityKit, or ARCore
- Have an understanding of shaders and advanced compositing techniques
- Have experience generating 3D assets from 2D or video references
