Accessibility Tester

Summary

Join TestPros as a Part-time Accessibility Tester (Screen Reader User – Vision Disability) for a 4–6 month contract supporting the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's accessibility project. This remote position (5-15 hours/week) involves testing websites and mobile apps using screen reader technology, providing usability feedback, collaborating with an accessibility consultant, and validating remediated content. The ideal candidate possesses lived experience as a screen reader user due to a vision disability and is comfortable using assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver. Familiarity with accessibility challenges and WCAG principles is helpful, and strong communication skills are essential. IAAP CPACC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Test websites and mobile apps using your screen reader
• Provide usability feedback from a real-world perspective
• Collaborate with the accessibility consultant to identify and describe accessibility barriers
• Participate in validation of remediated content
• Offer input to improve digital experiences for users with disabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with accessibility challenges and WCAG principles is helpful
• Prior experience with usability testing or digital feedback is a plus
• Strong communication skills to share insights clearly and constructively
