Requirements
- 5โ7 years of relevant experience in accounting and treasury functions
- Early experience from a top tier accounting firm + startup experience (bonus points if you were the first accounting hire in the past)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting (previous audit experience a nice to have)
- Experience in a high-growth startup, fintech, or SaaS company
- Hands-on experience with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Comfort operating autonomously while also collaborating cross-functionally
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own the accounting function: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, financial statements, and audits in accordance with GAAP
- Manage treasury operations: Oversee cash management, forecasting, and optimization across multiple accounts and entities
- Establish internal controls: Design and maintain robust accounting policies, processes, and systems as we scale
- Support strategic initiatives: Partner with leadership on fundraising, vendor negotiations, and financial modeling
- Coordinate with external partners: Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and accounting software vendors
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required
