The job is for a full-time, on-site Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk in Waterloo, Ontario. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles
- MUST be available to be on-site in Waterloo 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for payment
- Match purchase orders with invoices
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
- Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records
- Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable
- Generate and send out invoices to customers
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain customer files and records
- Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable
- Maintain financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Support the accounting team with audits and tax preparations
