Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles
  • MUST be available to be on-site in Waterloo 5 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices for payment
  • Match purchase orders with invoices
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable
  • Generate and send out invoices to customers
  • Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Maintain customer files and records
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable
  • Maintain financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Support the accounting team with audits and tax preparations
