Summary

Join Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) as an Actuarial Associate and support the modeling for corporate reporting metrics, including stress testing, economic capital, and liability durations. You will assist in analysis, provide insights, and improve existing processes. This role is part of the Actuarial Education Program, offering exam support and rotation opportunities. Generate actuarial projections using GGY AXIS modeling software, prepare data for actuarial models, manage model output, and analyze results. Collaborate with internal and external teams, and actively engage in continuous process and reporting improvements. The position offers a flexible work environment with in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field
  • Demonstrate ability to apply actuarial principles to complex situations
  • Ability to learn and utilize actuarial software systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills that include advanced analytical and reasoning abilities
  • Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and can operate efficiently in unpredictable and challenging project environments
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical and be able to handle multiple projects
  • Team player who can function as a key member of a small group
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Minimal travel required (less than 10%)

Responsibilities

  • Generate actuarial projections using GGY AXIS modeling software
  • Prepare data for use in actuarial models and execute controls on model inputs, outputs, and process
  • Manage model output and assist in analysis of results
  • Create and maintain process documentation
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to align efforts and drive successful outcomes
  • Actively engage in continuous improvements for both process and reporting
  • Perform other functions, duties, and projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 actuarial exams passed preferred (near ASA or ASA)
  • 1+ years experience preferred
  • Life insurance and annuity knowledge preferred
  • Exposure to GGY AXIS or similar actuarial modeling system preferred
