Summary

Join Imagine Pediatrics as an Acute Care Pediatrician and provide full-time virtual acute care services to patients. You will collaborate with a team to deliver virtual care, respond to acute care needs, and triage decisions for in-home urgent care visits. Responsibilities include collaborating with allied health personnel during home visits, overseeing Advanced Practice Providers, serving as a virtual attending, and participating in on-call coverage. The role requires a medical license, board certification, and at least 5 years of experience in a high-volume pediatric setting. Bilingual Spanish and experience in telehealth are preferred. Requirements

  • Be a licensed physician (MD/DO)
  • Be Board certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Have at least 5 years of experience as a pediatric physician in a high-volume emergency department, inpatient, or urgent care setting
  • Have experience managing medically complex pediatric patients
  • Have an Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration or be eligible for application
  • Maintain professional credentialing and CME standards
  • Be passionate about the growing role innovative technology can play in improving access to care and care delivery
  • Be passionate about tackling the issue of healthcare inequity
  • Be an independent self-starter, a leader, and a strategic thinker who is excited about the big picture of whole health, and the ongoing evaluation and iteration of our care model
  • Have experience working within an interdisciplinary team
  • Be comfortable working in a tech-heavy environment and comfortable troubleshooting basic technology issues
  • Have a stable and reliable internet connection, along with a private place to work

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time virtual acute care services to Imagine Pediatrics patients and their caregivers
  • Respond to inbound acute and perceived acute care needs
  • Triage decisions to dispatch our mobile field team of allied health personnel to initiate blended virtual and in-home urgent care visits
  • Collaborate with Mobile Integrated Care allied health personnel during home visits
  • Virtually meet with patients, obtain an appropriate history, assist allied health personnel in a focused physical exam, order appropriate testing and treatment, and provide appropriate follow up with requesting and primary providers
  • Oversee, and work closely with a team of Advanced Practice Providers, who will be the front line of our virtual urgent care program
  • Serve as a virtual acute care โ€œattendingโ€, providing clinical guidance and support
  • Participate in on-call coverage to support the 24/7 nature of the virtual acute care program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be Bilingual in Spanish
  • Have Telehealth experience
  • Have a license to practice in at least one of the following states: (TX or FL) and are willing to obtain licenses in all other existing and future Imagine Pediatrics markets
