Requirements

• SQL Expertise: 8+ years of experience writing complex queries and creating core logic for technical teams to create or use data tables
• Statistical Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming language with at least 3 years of hands-on experience
• Analytical Engineering: Experience working with IT to guide creation of analytical database structures
• Business Acumen: Proven ability to apply statistical methods in a business context, balancing rigor with practical decision-making
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Collaboration: Ability to work independently while effectively engaging with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analytical liaison with IT for the design and implementation of a new enterprise data lake
• Stand up governance practices that ensure data quality is achieved through accuracy, completeness, and timely data flows
• Develop code and data structures that enable efficient data access and analysis, focusing on foundational architecture rather than surface-level reporting
• Stand up new data sources and ensure data integrity and usability for business applications
• Apply statistical programming (e.g., Python, R, or SAS) to analyze complex datasets and support business decision-making
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for operational and strategic initiatives
• Support high-impact business questions with inferential thinking and real-world data interpretation
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive measurable outcomes
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a corporate or business environment (non-academic)
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering tools
• Exposure to AI/ML models and experience analyzing their impact
