Requirements

• Experience in a relevant technical role - Automation, Software Engineering, AI/ML Engineering
• Experience designing and implementing process automation solutions using workflow tools and custom scripting/programming
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, such as Python, Go, Javascript/TypeScript, Java, or PHP
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML concepts (LLMs and embeddings) to solve practical business problems, including familiarity with commercial AI APIs and open-source models
• Understanding and practical application of modern software engineering best practices: version control (Git), CI/CD principles, automated testing, writing clean, maintainable code
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas effectively to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical) and collaborate across departments
• A customer-centric mindset, empathy for end-user needs, and a coaching approach with a willingness to share knowledge

• Lead projects from ideation to production, ensuring systems are scalable, and well-tested using CI/CD pipelines
• Promote responsible AI use, mentor team members, and help shape best practices and governance frameworks
• Keep pace with advancements in AI, LLMs, and automation technologies, contribute to innovation while documenting solutions and participating in team initiatives like code reviews and hack days
• Collaborate across departments (Product, Engineering, Sales, Editorial) to identify opportunities and implement solutions that streamline workflows, enhance productivity, elevate content quality, and drive profitable growth, promoting innovation while upholding Future's values and "trusted, specialist content" ethos
