Summary

Join Version 1 as an AI Engineer and leverage your expertise in Python, Databricks, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to build and deploy AI solutions for major clients. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining AI projects within Databricks, optimizing large datasets using PySpark, and ensuring code scalability. Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to translate business needs into AI applications. The role demands proficiency in software engineering best practices, including code security, testing, and scalability. This position offers a chance to bridge the gap between data science and production-ready AI systems. Requirements

  • Experience of working in a Scrum Team and an Agile environment
  • Solid software engineering background covering SOLID principles with Python experience
  • Experience writing unit tests and integration tests
  • Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision and other AI techniques and algorithms
  • Experience in developing and deploying AI solutions using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Snowflake, or similar frameworks and tools
  • Some experience in utilising Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI’s GPT, or Hugging Face models to develop AI-driven applications, including text generation, summarization, code completion, and conversational AI
  • Some experience of using Cloud based AI services, such as AWS Comprehend (Natural Language Processing), Amazon Rekognition (Computer Vision), and Amazon Textract (Document Intelligence), for building AI-driven solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AI projects deployed entirely as notebooks within Databricks
  • Optimize large-scale datasets using PySpark
  • Ensure the scalability and sustainability of the codebase
  • Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to understand the business needs and translate them into AI applications
  • Follow software engineering best practices, including codebase security, testing, and scalability, helping bridge the gap between data science and production-ready AI systems
