Ai Research Scientist

Summary

Join Tavus, a Series A company building the human layer of AI, as a Senior Researcher. Lead research on generative video models, collaborating with the Applied ML team to productionize research and stay at the forefront of advancements. This role requires experience in facial animation, video processing (NeRF, super-resolution, video diffusion), and structuring research projects. Past publications are essential. A PhD or equivalent experience is preferred, along with experience leading research teams and software development knowledge. The position offers a flexible work schedule, unlimited PTO, competitive healthcare and gear stipends, and a collaborative team environment. The role is preferably hybrid in San Francisco, but remote candidates are considered.

Requirements

• Academic or industry experience with facial animation or talking-head
• Experience working with video - specifically NeRF, super-resolution, video diffusion
• Demonstrated capability to structure research projects to meet industry goals and timelines
• Past publications in relevant topics

Responsibilities

• Lead research efforts on generative video models (ex: Neural Avatar, Talking-Head, Lip-sync, and other low level computer vision topics)
• Work with the Applied ML team to help productionize our research
• Stay relevant with the latest advancements (and help us create the latest advancements!)

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience
• Experience leading research teams
• Knowledge of best practices in Software Development
