AI Tutor - Finance Specialist

Join xAI as an AI Tutor - Finance Specialist and contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI technologies. You will provide high-quality input and labels using specialized software, collaborating with the technical team to train new AI tasks and refine annotation tools. Your expertise in investment analysis across various finance fields (equities, commodities, real estate, etc.) will be crucial in improving model performance. This remote position offers both full-time and part-time options. You will play an essential role in advancing xAI's mission by supporting the training and refinement of its AI models, contributing data (text, voice, video) and annotations. The role requires strong finance expertise and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Must possess a Master's or PhD in a finance-related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a finance focus, or related disciplines) or equivalent professional experience as an investment analyst specializing in equity, commodities, real estate, fixed income, or accounting
• Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English
• Strong research skills, with the ability to navigate various financial information resources, databases, and online resources (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, SEC filings)
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities
• Solid reading comprehension skills combined with the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data/material
• Strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation in finance
• Available to occasionally work evenings and weekends, as the schedule varies depending on team operational needs; flexibility is required
• Demonstrates a strong capacity to quickly adapt by learning new skills and unlearning outdated ones, thriving in dynamic and changing environments
• For those who will be working from a personal device, please note your computer must be capable of running Windows 10 or macOS BigSur 11.0 or later

Responsibilities

• Use proprietary software applications to provide input/labels on defined projects
• Support and ensure the delivery of high-quality curated data
• Play a pivotal role in supporting and contributing to the training of new tasks, working closely with the technical staff to ensure the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge initiatives/technologies
• Interact with the technical staff to help improve the design of efficient annotation tools
• Choose problems from finance fields that align with your expertise, focusing on areas like investment analysis, taxation, accounting, financial modeling, or risk assessment where you can confidently provide detailed solutions and evaluate model responses
• Regularly interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on given instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience as an investment analyst, portfolio or wealth manager, or financial consultant
• Possesses research experience with at least one publication in a reputable finance or economics journal or outlet
• Has previous AI training experience
• Teaching experience (as a professor, teacher, or tutor) in finance-related subjects
• Experience in technical writing, financial journalism, or a professional writing setting
