Summary

Join Vonage AI Services team as a backend software engineer to build and optimize AI/ML-based services for audio, text, and conversational AI systems. You will create robust services using cutting-edge technology, optimize production services for high-volume traffic, and improve algorithms and models for scalability and performance. The role also involves developing data preprocessing pipelines and ETLs, contributing to research and development tools, and collaborating with data science professionals. Requirements

• Experience with NodeJS or Python web backend development
• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience with web frameworks and REST API services
• Experience with cloud hosting environments like AWS, GCP, Azure
• Virtual environments and dockerized environments (K8s)
• Experience in Agile software development methodology: Scrum, Kanban, etc
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Responsibilities

• Create new robust services built on cutting edge technology and AI/ML models
• Optimize production services and infrastructures that serve high volume traffic
• Optimize existing algorithms and models for scalability and performance
• Create and optimize data preprocessing pipelines and ETLs
• Contribute to our existing tool sets for advanced research and development
• Working alongside data science professionals together on joint tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS hosting and services (lambda, sqs, elastic, s3, dynamo etc…)
• Infrastructure and devops understanding
• GRPC, websockets
• Experience with C++, Go language
• Working with machine learning teams
• ETL, Spark, data processing
