Remote Air Quality Engineer/Scientist

Join our team at SC&A Inc., a small employee-owned business, as we seek a mid- or senior-level environmental engineer/scientist/analyst with expertise in EPA test methods and performance specifications. This part-time position will support projects evaluating air quality stack test methods and performance specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Science or Engineering
• 10+ years of work experience in the air pollution field with expertise in EPA test methods and performance specifications
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Support projects evaluating air quality stack test methods and performance specifications, and ambient monitoring techniques
• Execute technical tasks
• Participate in on-site testing/monitoring programs
• Perform literature/internet searches
• Prepare written summaries of technical materials
• Draft memoranda, presentations, and reports
• Assist in stakeholder outreach activities related to testing/monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with air pollution regulations
• Understanding of air emissions and mitigation techniques
• Proficiency in database software (including open source software)
