Join our team of Analysts and Senior Analysts responsible for managing the onboarding process of M&A businesses, conducting due diligence, producing prospectuses, and liaising with clients. This role is ideal for finance and accounting enthusiasts with an interest in technology. You will execute tasks such as collating financial information, evaluating financial documentation, and using various systems to analyze financial metrics. Responsibilities include compiling financial statements, verifying profit and loss statements, calculating business metrics, working with clients to organize data, presenting financials to investors, and communicating financial insights. The role requires experience in financial services or technology, strong analytical and communication skills, extensive Excel experience, and a deadline-driven approach. A strong academic background in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is also needed.
Requirements
- Experience in similar roles within the financial services or technology industry
- Ability to analyse profit & loss statements, balance sheets and communicate insight, patterns and trends
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Extensive experience with MS Excel
- Deadline-driven, and has a sense of urgency
- Robust analytical skillset and naturally inquisitive
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Strong academics in business administration, accounting, economics, finance or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 years relevant work experience
- Working towards CPA/CMA/CIA/ACCA/CFA
Responsibilities
- Compiling various financial statements
- Verify profit and loss statements using third party systems
- Calculate and present critical business metrics using internal business data
- Work closely with clients to collate and organise business financial data
- Work with the wider M&A team to clearly present and organize business financials to be shown to investors
- Perform in-depth interrogation of client business financials and performance
- Communicate financial patterns, insights, and discrepancies
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferable experience working within Transaction Services and Financial Due Diligence (desirable)
- Will consider those who come from an audit background, preferably from one of the Big 4
