Summary
Join Artera, an AI startup developing medical AI tests for cancer therapy personalization, as an Analytics Engineer. You will build and manage scalable data analysis pipelines, optimize Posit environments on AWS, and foster reproducible workflows. Collaborate with biostatistics, AI, and platform engineering teams. Develop infrastructure for rapid dashboard development and contribute to research initiatives. The role requires strong R programming skills, Linux administration, and AWS experience. Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience developing software with R via both OOP and functional programming, as well as development of interactive Shiny applications
- Solid working knowledge of Linux system administration
- 2+ years of industry experience owning the infrastructure used by the Biostatistics teams, including version control (e.g., Git), AWS, and maintaining this using a commonly used IaC framework such as Terraform or Ansible
- Familiarity with Python and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative discipline
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the infrastructure used by Arteraβs Biostatistics team to rapidly develop R libraries, run data and AI model analyses, and contribute to publications in a lean and efficient manner
- Develop the infrastructure necessary for rapid dashboard development to analyze both in-progress and launched products
- Act as a key analytical contributor on diverse research and development initiatives, collaborating closely with biostatistics, clinical development teammates, AI engineers, product managers, and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring and maintaining high-performance computing environments optimized for R users, ideally within the Posit Team enterprise
- Familiarity with Posit Team's features, setup, and ongoing configuration
- Good understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and cloud networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, VPCs)
