Summary

Join Highlight, a rapidly growing SaaS company revolutionizing product testing, as a Senior Analyst / Analytics Engineer. You will play a crucial role in driving key business outcomes and strategic decisions through data-driven insights. Working closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders, you will develop and maintain key reports, create data models, integrate and analyze CRM data, and generate actionable insights. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, Looker, dbt, and Fivetran, and experience with Snowflake and Postgres databases. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across various departments, present findings, and empower the company to become more data-fluent.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a business, product, or analytics engineering role at a SaaS company
  • Expert in SQL, with experience using Snowflake and Postgres
  • Proficient in Looker and LookML (1+ years)
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and Fivetran for data modeling and pipeline orchestration
  • Familiar with integrating HubSpot CRM data into analytics workflows
  • Comfortable using GitHub for version control and familiar with AWS services

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain key reports used for quarterly board meetings and monthly business reviews using Looker and LookML
  • Create and manage data models in dbt to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines
  • Integrate and analyze CRM data from HubSpot to support Finance, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting reporting needs
  • Work with Snowflake and Postgres databases to gather, process, and analyze large datasets
  • Utilize ETL tools like Fivetran to integrate data from various sources, including HubSpot, into the data warehouse
  • Manage and optimize data flows between HubSpot and other systems to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Generate actionable insights for special projects and initiatives, supporting cross-functional teams in Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Accounting
  • Proactively identify data needs related to CRM and other key business areas and implement solutions to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Accounting to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
  • Empower the rest of the company to become more data-fluent through training and support, particularly in leveraging HubSpot data for reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Brings hands-on experience across our tech stack: Snowflake, Postgres, AWS, Looker, dbt, Fivetran, GitHub, HubSpot, SQL, LookML, and Python
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity
  • Thrives in fast-paced, agile environments and adapts quickly to change
  • A clear and confident communicator who is able to distill technical topics for diverse audiences
  • A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and collaborates well across teams
