Summary
Join Karbon's Insights and Reporting team as a Data Engineer to support our revenue-generating reporting suite, Karbon Practice Intelligence (KPI). You will build data pipelines in Snowflake using DBT and create accurate reports in Power BI. Responsibilities include creating and managing data pipelines, building Power BI reports, implementing data quality checks, and collaborating with a cross-functional team. This role requires 3+ years of experience in data analytics/engineering, proficiency in SQL, experience with data warehouse technologies, and proficiency in a programming language. Preferred qualifications include Azure cloud experience, Docker and K8s experience, and experience with CI/CD and IaC. Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in data analytics/engineering
- Proficiency in advanced SQL
- Experience with data warehouse/data lake technologies (BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
- Proficiency in a relevant programming language (Python, Scala, Java, Javascript, R, etc.)
- Experience implementing ETL/ELT processes, data migration patterns, and dimensional modeling concepts (DBT, FiveTran, Stitch, Talend, etc)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerBI preferred)
Responsibilities
- Create and manage data pipelines - that enable the ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) of data from various sources into our data lake/data warehouse
- Build PowerBI Reports - Build complex customer facing PowerBI reports and iterate reporting requirements and business story with product manager and the UX designer
- Data management - Be able to build quality checks and tests for all newly developed code and data assets, checking for completeness and integrity against established processes
- Collaboration - You can work in a cross-functional team with AI engineers, analysts and full stack developers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Azure cloud (Highly desirable)
- Experience with Docker and K8s
- Experience with CI/CD such as Github Actions
- Experience with IaC such as Terraform and OpenTofu
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dataflow, AWS Glue, etc.)
