Summary

Join Weedmaps as an Analytics Engineer and become a key contributor to our Data organization. You will build and maintain data pipelines and analytics frameworks, collaborating with various teams to drive data-informed decisions. This role involves designing dbt models, implementing Tableau dashboards, automating reporting workflows, and creating self-service tools. You will analyze experiment results, develop data pipelines using SQL, and implement data quality checks. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, e-commerce domain knowledge, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, or similar technical role
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics engineering
  • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms, preferably Snowflake
  • Expertise in SQL and data modeling with dbt
  • Proficiency in Python

Responsibilities

  • Design fault-tolerant dbt models to synthesize data from multiple sources into mart tables
  • Design and implement Tableau dashboards and Streamplit apps to provide clear insights into performance
  • Automate regular reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and increase data consistency
  • Create self-service tools that empower business teams to access insights independently
  • Analyze experiment results to identify opportunities for improving ROI
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL within modern data stack tools (Snowflake, DBT, Metaplane)
  • Create and document data models that transform raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets with accompanying dictionaries and testing
  • Implement data quality checks and testing frameworks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business intelligence tools, preferably Tableau or Looker
  • E-commerce or marketplace business experience preferred
  • Regulated industry experience - nice to have
