Summary

TextNow is seeking a Software Developer for their Revenue team. The role involves contributing to software solutions, participating in code reviews, and assisting with debugging and issue resolution. The candidate should have relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, 2+ years of professional mobile software development experience with Android, proficiency in Java or Kotlin, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be open to feedback and adaptable to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or relevant experience
• 2+ years of professional mobile software development experience with Android
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high quality software
• Can write concise, performant, testable code. Unit testing is a must
• Basic understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow within our team, contributing to the success of our mission
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that improve user experience and application performance
• Participate in the development of new features, enhancements and improvements to our products
• Work on a wide range of projects, in mobile application development
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Assist with debugging and issue resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Google Play Store purchase flows
• Experience releasing apps to the Google Play Store
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose
• Previous experience with telecommunications or VoIP applications
• Understanding of automated application testing
