Android Engineer

Join GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service company, as a remote Android Engineer based in Latin America. You will architect, develop, and maintain mobile applications using KMP and Compose, collaborate on cross-platform initiatives, and optimize mobile systems. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Android development with proficiency in Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or other cross-platform frameworks
• Strong architecture design skills and ability to build reusable UI components
• Comfortable working on collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and passion for innovation

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain mobile applications leveraging KMP for shared business logic and Compose for modern UI design
• Collaborate on cross-platform initiatives, contributing to both Android and iOS codebases when necessary
• Analyze and optimize high-volume mobile systems for performance and scalability
• Refactor and revitalize codebases as technology evolves
• Lead development efforts for new products and enhancements to existing products in response to market changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, ensuring high-quality user experiences
• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver innovative features

Preferred Qualifications

• Android Launcher experience is a strong plus
• Exposure to or experience with iOS development (Swift or Objective-C) is a strong plus

• The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,500 - $3,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset
