Android Engineer

Summary

Join Sporty, a 100% remote, globally-operating online gaming company, as an Android Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing Android applications, developing new features and UI pages, and releasing updates to new regions. This role requires 3+ years of experience in Kotlin or Java for Android development, expertise in mobile app architecture, and strong multithreading and memory management skills. Requirements

• 3+ years experience writing clean code in Kotlin or Java for Android applications
• Enjoy working on mobile apps at all levels from networking up to user interfaces and everything in between
• Working on mobile application architecture, including data modelling, networking and data synchronization and concurrency
• Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management
• Sporty is an English speaking working environment, so we are looking for English speakers

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and responsibility of our existing Android applications
• Facilitate and release new versions of apps in several new regions
• Build new end to end features on our platforms
• Create new UIs to stay on top of various sporting events Globally (World Cup, Football Euros, Olympics etc)
