Angular Developer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Frontend Engineer and lead the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated user interfaces for our client platform. This pivotal role demands hands-on development, technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will drive frontend strategy, ensure best practices, and tackle complex technical challenges. The position is full-time and work from home. Experience of 5-7+ years is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Angular/Angular Material and related technologies.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong focus on Angular/Angular Material
• Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (including SASS/LESS)
• Proven experience with modern Angular versions, TypeScript, RxJS, and Ngrx or similar state management libraries
• Strong experience in writing comprehensive unit tests (e.g., Jasmine, Karma) and conducting thorough code reviews
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Angular CLI)
• Familiarity with version control systems
• Demonstrated experience leading frontend projects and mentoring other developers
• Proficient in working within Agile/Scrum development environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a keen attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to think critically about system architecture and design scalable and maintainable frontend solutions

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, and responsive Angular Material-based web applications
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code review feedback to mid-level and junior developers, fostering a culture of high quality and continuous improvement
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements and design mockups into fully functional, high-quality user interfaces
• Drive frontend architectural decisions, evaluate and recommend new technologies, and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Lead the development of new user-facing features for our platform, ensuring they are functional, accessible, and visually appealing
• Contribute to the redesign and refactoring of existing features for a site refresh, focusing on improving performance, maintainability, and user experience
• Establish and enforce frontend coding standards, best practices, and testing strategies (including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing)
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with backend technologies or full-stack development
• Experience with data visualization libraries
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
