Requirements

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and clear documentation of processes and improvements
• Have a minimum of two years of experience in Python, Bash scripting, and web frontend programming, facilitating the development and maintenance of tools to support annotation processes
• Be familiar with Git or similar source control systems to manage codebase and versioning

Responsibilities

• Oversee the existing image annotation workflows, working closely with the annotation team to optimize processes and ensure efficiency
• Review, refine, and expand data annotation guidelines to support consistent data quality across projects
• Partner with platform engineering teams to enhance current annotation systems and participate in the development of new systems to meet evolving needs
• Develop and maintain systems to review and clean annotation data as necessary, implementing checks to ensure data integrity and usability
• Manage the upkeep of existing data collection systems while designing and building new ones to improve data acquisition processes
• Research, evaluate, and integrate automated annotation tools to increase efficiency in the annotation pipeline
• Benchmark performance metrics for the annotation team, manage capacity planning, and make recommendations for productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields
• Have a background in video annotation or annotations for robotics applications
