Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience teaching at least one of the following AP courses: Macroeconomics or Microeconomics
  • 2+ years of Social Studies teaching or curriculum writing experience
  • Strong knowledge of AP course frameworks
  • Passion for education and learning
  • Visual creativity and proficiency creating digital images
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide, receive, and respond to feedback in a constructive and positive manner
  • Effective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically to execute conceptual ideas into a finished product
  • Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and self-motivate to successfully meet deadlines
  • Adapt quickly to changes
  • Brainstorm and collaborate in a team setting
  • Proficient in MS Office/working knowledge of IT

Responsibilities

  • Create materials for UWorld social studies question banks and curriculum products
  • Write AP style questions with comprehensive explanations
  • Revise and provide constructive feedback on content written by other authors
  • Generate classroom activities that reflect existing AP blueprint standards
  • Validate accuracy and relevance of content generated with other team members
  • Work with other content experts to identify topics for new product development
  • Assist other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are met

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience teaching any of the following AP courses: Human Geography, World History, US History, or US Government
