AP Physics and/or AP Chemistry Tutor

Summary

Join the Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring as a remote AP Physics or AP Chemistry tutor for students in grades 9-12. This contract position offers flexible hours, generally after school (US EST), with a variable workload of 6-12 hours per week. The tutoring center is based in Boston, MA, and provides no materials. You will work with a small team and help students achieve their academic goals. The hourly rate is $35-45. This position is ideal for those with a passion for helping others succeed academically.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's degree and demonstrable experience teaching or tutoring AP test preparation
• Possess demonstrable expertise in AP Physics and/or AP Chemistry
• Have past experience teaching AP courses or tutoring AP test preparation in a paid capacity
• Have experience working with US students in grades 9-12
• Possess a strong academic background
• Demonstrate a passion for helping others succeed academically

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in grades 9-12 in AP Physics and/or AP Chemistry
• Conduct online tutoring sessions
• Maintain strong communication with students and parents
• Prepare and deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
