Summary
Join Revelator, a leading music industry solutions provider, as an API Support Engineer. This crucial role involves supporting and improving our public-facing API, directly assisting customers with troubleshooting and providing guidance. You will contribute to API development and enhancement using .NET Core, creating documentation, and collaborating with the engineering team. This position offers a potential transition to a Backend Developer role after a year or two, based on performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong .NET Core proficiency, API development/support experience, and excellent customer communication skills.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core and experience developing and supporting APIs
- Familiarity with RESTful API standards and tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar
- Experience with API authentication methods such as OAuth or API keys
- Proven track record in a customer-facing technical support role
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical users
- Strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of experience in API development/support or related roles
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in understanding and effectively using our public API
- Troubleshoot API-related issues, identifying root causes, and providing timely solutions
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex technical challenges reported by customers
- Monitor API performance and ensure uptime, reliability, and responsiveness
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our API using .NET Core
- Implement changes and new features based on customer feedback and evolving product requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for API updates and bug fixes
- Test and debug APIs to ensure quality and compliance with standards
- Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, guides, and tutorials
- Develop FAQs and troubleshooting guides to empower customers with self-service solutions
- Advocate for best practices in API usage and implementation
- Act as a liaison between customers and the internal engineering team
- Partner with product managers and other stakeholders to align API updates with business goals
- Share insights and trends from customer interactions to inform the product roadmap
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SQL databases and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus
