Appian Test Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a remote Test Engineer, collaborating closely with Appian developers and business analysts. You will design and execute automated test cases for Appian applications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong software testing background, experience with automated testing tools, and understands Appian or similar BPM platforms. Excellent analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment. This role requires US citizenship and a minimum of 5 years of experience with a BA/BS or MA/MS degree. The salary range is $60,000 - $64,000 annually.

Requirements

• US Citizenship - candidates being considered for a Public Sector roles must be a U.S. citizen
• Has more than 5 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in software testing, including experience with automated testing
• Familiarity with Appian or other BPM platforms

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Appian development team and business analysts to understand application requirements and functionality
• Participate in the development of test plans and strategies to ensure effective testing of Appian applications
• Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk and impact
• Ensure that testing activities are aligned with project timelines and deliverables
• Execute automated test cases and analyze the results to identify defects and issues
• Document and report defects, working closely with the development team to resolve them
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment and effective communication

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
