Summary
Join our team as an Application Architect-II and contribute to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) initiatives. Under the supervision of the Collaboration and Project Management supervisor, you will lead and guide staff in designing and developing ITIL systems and solutions. You will be part of the application development team, troubleshooting issues and ensuring effective ITIL system solutions. Close collaboration with functional user groups is crucial to guarantee the effectiveness of deployed solutions. You will review system specifications to ensure alignment with agency methodologies and standards, and work with the Secretary’s Office on their legal software. This is a remote position located in Madison, WI, with a duration of up to 6+ months.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an application architect
- Be proficient in programming languages, such as SQL and JavaScript
- Be willing to learn and able to configure cloud-based or on-prem off-the-shelf business solutions
- Have experience in aligning application development with business needs
- Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Possess superb organizational and time management skills
- Be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with professionals from a range of technical and non-technical backgrounds
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior managers to determine business-specific application needs
- Compile and implement application development plans for new or existing applications
- Demonstrate application prototypes and integrate user feedback
- Write scripts and code for applications, as well as install and update applications
- Provide end-users with technical support
- Run diagnostic tests and perform debugging procedures
- Perform application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration
- Document application development processes, procedures, and standards
