Requirements
- 6+ years working in a production application with real-world users
- 3+ years in an applied AI/ML supporting role
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineers, data scientists, product managers) and providing technical leadership
- Demonstrates ability to research, architect, deploy, and maintain complex AI/ML systems at scale
- Deep experience with semantic and vector search techniques leveraging a search engine (Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, etc)
- Proven track record of evaluating, implementing, and leveraging both open-source and hosted AI solutions
- A strong background in Python for ML development and tooling with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Advanced ML Ops practices (Docker/Kubernetes, AWS SageMaker, MLflow)
- CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices (Git & GitHub)

- Work closely with our cofounders, marketing, and other cross-functional teams
- Lead initiatives that make a significant impact, from researching, architecting, and deploying complex AI/ML systems to leveling up engineers on those systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Familiarity with Major open-source and hosted AI providers (OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc)
- Familiarity with Large-scale data pipeline tools (Airflow, Kafka, Spark)
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with Distributed systems including event-driven and service-oriented architectures
