Summary

Join Granicus's dynamic accounting team in Puerto Rico as a motivated leader. You will be responsible for accurate record-keeping, monitoring accounts, contacting clients about overdue payments, updating records, reporting on collection activity, and assisting with month-end close tasks. The ideal candidate possesses 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, a BA/BS in Accounting or a related field, strong communication skills, and intermediate MS Office proficiency. Fluency in Spanish is required. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus. Granicus offers a remote-first work environment and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Have 1-2 years of related experience in various accounting roles (billing/AR, AP, general ledger)
  • Have a BA/BS in Accounting or a related field
  • Communicate well with team members and customers
  • Have intermediate MS Office skills
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken Spanish
  • Be detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Have effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to re-assess existing approaches/processes
  • Be adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate records and reporting on billing or collection activity
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments
  • Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
  • Update account status records and collection efforts
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Assume responsibility of month end close tasks including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with various accounting activities for the integration of acquired companies
  • Assist in supplying documentation in a yearly external audit
  • Be responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
  • Ensure the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies
