Summary

Join EquipmentShare as an Architectural Designer and contribute to transforming the construction industry. This fully remote role involves upholding design standards, managing projects from inception to post-occupancy evaluation, and collaborating with stakeholders. Requirements

  • Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, building codes and regulations

  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to diagram designs digitally and by hand
  • Desire to seek, learn and utilize various design technologies, with proficiency in the following software
  • Revit, Enscape for Revit, AutoCAD
  • Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office Suite
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited college

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all design projects company-wide uphold the EquipmentShare design standards
  • Establish project goals
  • Oversee small teams to produce designs on multiple projects
  • Assist team members with project budgets and timelines
  • Execute multiple designs under various deadlines
  • Translate stated design principles/objectives into unique and varied store locations
  • Identify, analyze and solve design and construction problems in a collaborative manner
  • Develop form, proportion, scale and materiality of a variety of architectural projects
  • Ensure building systems are aesthetically pleasing, functional, reliable and safe - a working knowledge of building codes and familiarity with health requirements
  • Participate in onsite visits
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Read, interpret and explain complex technical documents
  • Collaborate with interior designers, engineers and contractors to further understand how architectural space should appear and function
  • Prepare sketches or renderings to demonstrate preliminary designs to various internal stakeholders
  • Utilize design software to prepare and illustrate final plans, renderings and construction documents
  • Ensure project success by performing post-occupancy evaluations
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, building detailing, project delivery and other developments in architectural design - a drive for continually learning
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant working design experience in retail, warehouse, and/or corporate workplace sectors preferred
  • Twinmotion experience is a plus
  • At least 4 years of relatable experience is preferred
  • Licensure is not required but preferred
  • Experience across all phases of project delivery - conceptual through construction
