Summary
Join Avalere Health as an Art Director and be responsible for conceptualizing and designing integrated advertising campaigns, managing the creative process, and ensuring all work aligns strategically and creatively. You will develop designs and layouts, collaborate with copywriters and other team members, and work with senior art staff to enhance conceptual abilities. The role demands timely turnaround on assignments, preparation of detailed layouts and storyboards, and collaboration with internal and external resources. You will need to effectively communicate solutions, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work with various departments to achieve final results. This position requires a commitment to finding creative solutions and helping the team meet its goals while creating compelling healthcare communications for HCPs and patients.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in advertising, marketing, graphic arts or equivalent area of study
- Portfolio/samples required (include a link to this in your resume)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of agency experience
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite experience, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- A strong team-player, comfortable taking on direction
- Willingness to take initiative and learn quickly
- Must be self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent sense of design and layout
- Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and design content based on project briefs and strategic direction across a variety of print and digital media platforms
- Collaborate with senior art staff, copywriters, and other team members on client, in-house, and new business projects
- Work with senior art staff to develop conceptual abilities
- Review and address team and client feedback
- Timely turn around on assignments
- Prepare detailed layouts, prototypes, and storyboardswith an attention to detail
- Work with in-house art department/studio as well as outside suppliers for completion of comps
- Use communication skills, including presenting skills
- Work closely with the editorial and project management departments to ensure that projects are completed according to deadlines
- Acquire knowledge of assigned product and category
- Works to solve problems and effectively communicate solutions
- Handles multiple projects simultaneously while working under tight deadlines
- Works with all necessary departments to achieve final results, communicating status updates to ensure maximum workflow efficiencies
- Be highly motivated in finding creative solutions, helping the team meet its goals, and wanting to help HCPs and patients via the compelling healthcare communications you create
- Commit to the hours and effort needed to move on to the next level
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical and/or medical device experience
- Knowledge of Figma
