Summary

The job is a remote Contract/Consultant position as an Asset Resolution Team Lead at World Business Lenders (WBL), managing a team responsible for non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loans and REO. The role requires excellent English language skills, a law degree, experience in commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure/loss mitigation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Requirements

  • Law degree (from a nationally accredited U.S. law school is preferred.)
  • Experience with Real State required
  • Experience working in commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure/loss mitigation required
  • Strong organization, decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Experience overseeing activities of a team and with training
  • Demonstrated analytical and reasoning skills, and innovative approach to solving both practical and theoretical problems
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong work ethic with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • You must have your own laptop or desktop to use (the company does not supply equipment)
  • Excellent English fluency and communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage team of Asset Resolution Analysts
  • Conduct proactive and efficient portfolio management in line with established performance standards
  • Monitor and handle commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure activities, including associated deadlines
  • Direct, monitor, and coordinate with internal and external attorneys, collection agencies, and other vendors involved in loss mitigation efforts
  • Draft demand letters
  • Prepare bidding instructions
  • Track loss mitigation performance and analyze trends in terms of severity
  • Implement and communicate loss mitigation decisions
  • Maintain delinquency and loss mitigation reports, including trend analysis and evaluation
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of debtors' financial position, credit status, personal history, and repayment performance
  • Facilitate negotiation and resolution of conflicts
  • Perform detailed quarterly reviews of managed portfolio to affirm or reevaluate recovery estimates
  • Monitor related expenses (taxes, maintenance, utilities, fees, etc.) and propose necessary advances in a timely manner
  • Assist in preparing budget for the Asset Resolution Department
  • Handle other assigned projects and duties
