Based in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, or remotely, you will review global commercial contracts, focusing on vendor/supplier agreements from the US, Europe, India, and Singapore. You will report to the Managing Counsel, APAC, and collaborate with various business functions. This crucial role directly impacts our high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India, possessing strong negotiation skills and business acumen. You will draft and review contracts, stay updated on legal changes, and provide strategic advice.

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer enrolled (or eligible to be enrolled) with the Bar Council of India
• Ability to analyze, review and negotiate a broad range of global commercial contracts including Master Services Agreements, Services Agreements, SOWs, Service Level Agreements, Orders Forms, NDAs; etc
• Superior business acumen with an unrivaled commitment and deep-seated need to provide responsive support service to our teams and get things done; approaches responsibilities with a business friendly and pragmatic mindset while maintaining a commensurate balance of legal risk
• Energetic, authentic, and friendly with a great sense of humor; capable of displaying strong negotiation skills and the ability to support difficult positions in a firm and patient manner
• Effective communicator with the ability to interact with both internal and external professionals of all types and backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Draft and review the company’s commercial contracts and provide general transactional support cross the organization with a heavy emphasis on vendor/supplier agreements
• Remain informed of the shifting legal landscape relating to applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact commercial agreements
• Work effectively in a dynamic environment across different functional groups and time zones
• Provide legal and strategic business advice to ensure agreements are consistent with playbooks, internal policies, and processes
• Provide general support to the Managing Counsel, Associate Counsel, and the broader AlphaSense legal team on a wide range of legal matters, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferably 1+ years’ experience with drafting, reviewing commercial agreements (with a heavy emphasis on vendor/supplier agreements) either in-house or with a nationally recognized law firm (or a combination of the two)
• Experience with contract management systems, procurement tools and privacy a plus
