Summary
Join Chamberlain University as an Assistant Dean and lead practicum oversight, ensuring compliance and supporting faculty and curriculum delivery. Drive student success by partnering with Student Services and coordinate academic operations, fostering collaboration and leveraging data to champion innovation. This role requires a doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) in Nursing, along with teaching experience and leadership skills. Requirements
- Doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) in Nursing required
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching or training experience at the baccalaureate level or higher
- At least 1 year of online teaching experience
- Previous leadership experience in an academic or clinical training environment
- Experience in clinical coordination and a strong understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online instructional technologies
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with faculty, students, and staff across all levels
- Customer service-oriented with a strong commitment to student success
- Comfortable using a variety of technology platforms and tools to support academic operations
- Current, active licensure and/or certification required in fields where professional practice mandates it
Responsibilities
- Lead Practicum Oversight : Manage the end-to-end review and approval process for student practicum applications, ensuring alignment with academic standards, regulatory requirements, and program timelines
- Ensure Compliance : Collaborate with academic and clinical teams to maintain documentation accuracy, site eligibility, and student readiness for practicum placements
- Support Faculty & Curriculum Delivery : Provide operational support to faculty and academic departments to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction and student engagement
- Drive Student Success : Partner with Student Services to resolve practicum-related issues, support student progression, and enhance the overall practicum experience
- Coordinate Academic Operations : Assist in planning and executing academic initiatives, including course scheduling, curriculum updates, and accreditation support
- Foster Collaboration : Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings to streamline practicum workflows and improve communication between departments
- Leverage Data : Analyze practicum metrics and student feedback to inform process improvements and ensure timely placements
- Champion Innovation : Contribute to the development of new systems and tools that enhance practicum coordination and academic support services
