Associate Accountant

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data entry and invoice processing
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and regulations related to accounts payable

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and process supplier invoices in the accounting system
• Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, payment inquiries, and related issues
• Payment Processing: Assist in preparing and processing payment runs (e.g., checks, ACH transfers)
• Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies
• Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling accounts payable transactions and statements to ensure accuracy
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records, including invoices, payment receipts, and vendor documentation
• Month-End Closing: Support the month-end close process by preparing AP reports and assisting with reconciliation tasks
