Associate Data Annotation Specialist

Summary

Join Mitek's Check Deposits R&D Team as an Associate Data Annotation Specialist and contribute to the development of advanced computer vision algorithms and deep learning models for check processing and fraud detection. You will play a key role in annotating visual and text data, including identifying regions on check images, transcribing field content, comparing signatures, and determining font types. This part-time, 20 hours/week position is a 4-month fixed-term contract based in Spain with flexible hours and remote work options. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and proactive communication. Responsibilities

• Execute visual and text data annotation tasks
• Identify regions on an image of a check, such as the Date, Payee, and Amount fields, and accurately annotate these regions with bounding boxes
• Transcribe the content of a field on the image to text with high accuracy and quality
• Compare signatures to determine if they are from the same person
• Determine if two fields have been written using the same font type
• Work closely with the Data Annotation Specialist, who will provide you with specific training and mentoring to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the annotated data, and you will report any issues that you may encounter during the annotation process

Preferred Qualifications

• Spoken Russian would be a plus
• Experience working with annotation tools and platforms for visual and textual data is a plus
