Summary

Join Nuvalent, a dynamic early-stage company in the biopharmaceutical industry, as the Associate Director of Compliance Operations. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Nuvalent’s comprehensive compliance program. Key responsibilities include developing and executing compliance training modules, conducting risk-based audits and monitoring, and providing guidance to employees on compliance policies. You will also collaborate with IT, Finance, and external vendors to design and implement systems for reporting. This role demands strong analytical skills, experience in compliance operations, and a proven ability to lead and engage teams. Requirements

  • 6+ years’ compliance experience with 5+ years’ pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Prior compliance operations/spend reporting experience
  • Prior compliance training experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with establishing procedures and work practices to enable the effective and efficient implementation of compliance policies and other compliance program elements
  • In collaboration with IT and Finance and external vendors, design and implement a system solution that meets the requirements for state, federal, and ex-US covered recipient spend reporting. Manage the aggregation process on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting
  • Design, select, conduct, and assign compliance training modules appropriate for functions across the organization, consistent with the plan set forth by the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial and Compliance
  • Assist with the development of a risk-based auditing and monitoring plan. Execute designated aspects of the plan, including field-based monitoring
  • Compile and analyze relevant compliance data (e.g., audit outcomes, training metrics) to create slide decks, dashboards, and other messaging related to the compliance program for a variety of audiences, including leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Create and manage compliance controls related to distinct types of HCP engagements, including review of needs assessments and supporting the FMV determination process
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to employees on compliance policies and the Code of Business Conduct
  • Serve as compliance representative on identified review committees as assigned (e.g., Grants review and sponsorship review committees)
