Join Oscar's Legal team as an Associate General Counsel, Litigation. You will report to the VP, Regulatory Counsel and Government Affairs. The position offers a blended work culture with flexibility depending on location, requiring at least two days in the office per week if within commuting distance of NYC, Tempe, or Los Angeles offices. Requirements
- Attorney in good standing with J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
- Law license in good standing and the ability to register as In-House Counsel in New York (NY) State (NY bar admission is not required)
- 12+ years of relevant experience at a top tier law firm, in-house counsel, and/or insurance regulatory agency
Responsibilities
- Work with main partners to provide proactive and commercially-oriented advice on complex legal issues
- Lead important and high visibility programs that support our in-year and long-term business strategy
- Develop relationships with Operating Committee members. Be a trusted advisor and strategic partner
- Set the vision and tone for the team, participate in talent management and development, and ensure the team is staffed and resourced to support our strategy
- Lead the development and improvement of Company and Legal team processes
- Represent Oscar externally to further important projects with partners, regulatory bodies, and other partners
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
