Remote Associate Physician Editor

Summary

MDCalc seeks dedicated Physician Editors to ensure accuracy of clinical content, with responsibilities including editorial review, content creation, and promotion within medical communities. Part-time position (~60 hours/year).

Requirements

• Board-certified physician in active clinical practice
• Strong academic credentials
• Demonstrated ability to author engaging clinical content (e.g., textbooks, journal articles, review articles, blogs, podcasts)
• Excellent communication and editorial skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage subject matter experts to create content
• Provide editorial review of specialty-related feedback and content on MDCalc
• Contribute relevant text for our Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tools, and recruit contributors to do the same
• Write short-form content to educate users about relevant tools
• Serve as an evangelist for MDCalc to the physician, life science, and healthcare community
• Act as an ambassador to connect MDCalc with relevant medical societies and organizations
• Provide feedback to enhance the MDCalc user experience
• Respond to requests for assistance within 3 business days unless previously excused
• Participate in monthly meetings with MDCalc staff
