Requirements

  • Total Experience 10+ years
  • Fluency in Japanese and English with strong written communication skills in both languages
  • Hands on experience translating PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other business materials from Japanese to English and vice versa
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, contextual relevance, and preservation of intended meaning and tone
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently
  • Strong organizational and proofreading skills to maintain high-quality translations
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Translate PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other written materials from Japanese to English and English to Japanese
  • Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with company terminology and style guidelines
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deadlines
  • Proofread and edit translations to ensure consistency and high quality
  • Maintain updated glossaries and translation memory databases for ongoing and future projects
  • Support the localization of materials to align with the cultural and linguistic nuances of Japanese audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with translation and localization tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Japanese Studies, or a related field
