Associate Software Engineer II

Summary

Join Collibra’s Lineage team to implement automated Lineage scanners and present the result via interactive Lineage diagrams. As a Software Engineer (Python), you will analyze data sources, work with the Product team to define lineage scanner scope, implement algorithms, deliver quality code, optimize performance, troubleshoot complex lineage processing pipelines, and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in Python and great motivation to have it as your primary programming language
• Experience with Kotlin or Scala as a strong plus
• Previous experience with BI or ETL products as a strong plus
• An agile mindset and like to work in scrum/kanban environments
• Great communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Analyzing data sources and working with Product team to define lineage scanner scope
• Implementing algorithms and complex logic to extract lineage from sources like API outputs, XML files and others
• Delivering a quality code while applying good and clean code principles
• Optimizing performance and participating in architectural design
• Troubleshooting complex lineage processing pipelines
• Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and teams to create a well integrated and customer-friendly product
