Associate Staff Engineer

Summary

Join our Digital Product Engineering company as a Software Test Engineer and contribute to building inspiring products and services. You will review software requirements, prepare test scenarios, execute tests, analyze results, and prepare comprehensive reports. Collaborate with clients and the design team to understand product requirements and provide valuable input. Your responsibilities include identifying quality issues, writing automation scripts using Selenium and Java, and collaborating with developers to resolve application faults. This role requires experience in test case writing, bug report review, and working knowledge of Agile methodologies. A good understanding of Excel and experience with performance tools like JMeter are preferred.

Requirements

• Experience in identifying test scenarios and extensive experience in writing test cases
• Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas
• Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications using Selenium and Java
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports
• Collaborating with the development team to solve application faults
• Manual and automation testing distribution percentage is approximately 60% and 40% respectively
• Should be able to provide 4 hours overlap with start of US Eastern timezone
• Must have Skills/Tools: Automation Testing, Selenium, Java (able to read and write), UI Testing, Cucumber, TestNG
• Amenable to work Monday to Friday, 2:00PM- 11:00PM

Responsibilities

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
• Executing tests on software usability
• Analyzing test results on impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team
• Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Worked in Agile project will be an additional advantage
• Should have good understanding of excel
• Having good working experience of performance tool preferably J meter
