Associate Staff Engineer, Frontend Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Front End Developer and leverage your expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and front-end architecture. You will build reusable and scalable interfaces using ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, Zustand, and Liquid for Shopify. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver responsive web experiences. Lead and mentor other developers, ensuring adherence to best practices. Optimize site performance and translate wireframes into pixel-perfect designs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for clean code. You will also maintain internal documentation and assist other teams with development needs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and front-end architecture
• Deep expertise in ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, Zustand, and NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with Liquid templating for Shopify
• Expertise in CSS3, with thorough understanding of specificity, cascade, and browser compatibility (including IE11)
• Solid grasp of UI/UX design principles, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience using development tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, and Vercel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Passion for clean, maintainable, and standards-based code
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and guide fellow developers
• Amenable to work 5:00AM – 2:00PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Build reusable and scalable interfaces using ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, Zustand, and Liquid for Shopify
• Act as a technical liaison between business, UX, and Site Reliability Engineering teams
• Lead and mentor other Front End Developers; advocate and enforce best practices in front end development
• Create responsive, accessible, and standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components
• Optimize site performance and reduce code weight for faster load times
• Translate wireframes into responsive pages while maintaining pixel-perfect design fidelity
• Collaborate with QA and backend teams to implement, test, and deploy features
• Build and manage reusable components and templates using ReactJS and custom JavaScript modules
• Maintain and update internal documentation on tools, processes, and development standards
• Assist Marketing and Creative teams with development needs when required
• Ensure compliance with legal policies and internal documentation standards
