Audio Visual QC Linguist

Summary

Join Wordbank LLC's Freelance Resource Network as a Freelance Audio Visual QC Linguist and ensure the accuracy and quality of our client's audio and visual content. You will review and proofread movie trailer assets, identifying and correcting errors. This role requires fluency in English and at least one other language, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Experience in audio-visual quality control is a plus. You'll work independently, meeting tight deadlines, sometimes including weekend work. We offer payment via Wise or bank transfer at the end of the month.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and native fluency in at least one of our needed languages
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - These projects often have very tight deadlines and sometimes require weekend work
• Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the localization industry or a relevant degree and be native speakers of their target language
• Must be comfortable working with subtitling software and project management platforms such as Jira

Responsibilities

• Check localized assets for completeness, accuracy, and fluency
• Report linguistic errors
• Check assets for technical compliance to client specifications
• Check assets against brand guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in audio visual quality control is a plus
