Summary

Join our team as a Microsoft Azure & M365 Cloud Architect! This long-term contract position in Fort Lauderdale, FL, requires a highly skilled technical leader to serve as the architect and subject matter expert for Azure IaaS and Microsoft 365 environments. You will design and manage cloud infrastructure and collaboration tools, ensuring system security and optimizing cloud performance. Responsibilities include managing Azure networking and M365 services, handling tenant-level settings, and leading migrations. You will also provide user training and support, and stay current with Microsoft updates. All visas are accepted.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and M365 administration
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Azure AD
• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for automation across M365 and SharePoint
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex multi-discipline issues including identity, mail flow, endpoint integration, and cloud security
• Familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and Microsoft Purview compliance features (e.g., DLP, sensitivity labels, auditing)
• Experience supporting Windows Server (2016–2025) and various Linux distributions

Responsibilities

• Manage Azure networking, firewalls, virtual machines, and app services
• Oversee M365 services like SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive
• Handle tenant-level settings, identity protection, SAML integrations, and compliance enforcement through Microsoft Purview
• Provide user training, documentation, and support
• Lead migrations and stay current with Microsoft updates to assess their impact on the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience migrating from VMware to Azure
• Experience in hybrid Active Directory and Exchange environments
• Exposure to Agile or ITIL frameworks
• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Experience with Veeam VRO
