Back End Developer

Summary

Join us at 540 as we look for a Software Engineer to help the Air Force improve integration and web-based capabilities for aircraft maintainers and support personnel. As a software engineer on this project, you will be supporting the development, testing, and deployment of microservices that facilitate the sharing of maintenance data, financial data, and other data sets across the Air Force.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of experience developing Java / Spring Boot applications
• Experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications on cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), Azure preferred
• Experience developing microservices for deployment in Kubernetes (or similar container management platforms)
• Proven skill in successfully engaging with stakeholders and/or clients
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability to explain technical tasks to functional members of the team

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and deployment of microservices that facilitate the sharing of maintenance data, financial data, and other data sets across the Air Force
• Deliver new / green field development using modern development technologies and cloud services
• Develop microservices that orchestrate, expose, and deliver critical data to various Air Force Enterprise data systems
