Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Delta Capita as a Backend Engineer and design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure backend services for our SaaS platform. You will collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality software. This permanent, full-time position offers hybrid or fully remote work in Dublin. A valid Irish work permit is required. The role focuses on performance, reliability, and security of backend services using FastAPI and other Python frameworks. You will work with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases and build RESTful APIs.

Requirements

• Experience with Python (FastAPI) – Proven experience building and maintaining backend services using FastAPI and other Python frameworks
• Database Design & Management – Strong knowledge of relational ( MySQL ) and NoSQL ( MongoDB ) databases
• API Development – Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and familiarity with API security and authentication standards (OAuth, JWT)
• Testing & Code Quality – Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests, maintaining clean, scalable, and well-documented code
