Remote Backend Engineer

Summary

Peach is seeking a Backend Developer to help design a new FinTech system from scratch using best-in-class tools. The developer will work with a small team of experts to build all parts of the system, from frontend to microservices and deployments in pods on Kubernetes. The role involves helping build an effective engineering organization, providing guidance to junior engineers, working with product and design, participating in incident review processes, and shaping the company's technology stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or relevant technical experience
• 5+ years of backend agile software development experience (including SAAS experience)
• Experience designing and building APIs
• Experience designing and building Microservices
• Ability to write clean, reliable code that can be easily maintained and be tested automatically
• Startup experience or experience working in small teams

Preferred Qualifications

• FinTech experience is a strong plus
• Experience working in GCP is a plus
• 2 or more years of experience in Go
